LUCAS LEE is a Canadian, California-based multi-instrumentalist (guitars, keyboards, violins and bass), writer and audio production engineer. In 2013, Lee released his second solo album entitled, "Normalcy Bias", featuring drumming legend Pat Mastelotto(King Crimson, XTC, Mr. Mister) on acoustic and electric drums. In 2015, Lee released his third solo album "Business Brunch Specials: Uranium Omelet (with GMO-Free Brown Sauce)" with Tobias Ralph(The Crimson ProjeKCt, Adrian Belew Power Trio) on drums.
("...To say that Lucas Lee has formidable chops is an understatement and does not fully do his music justice. [...] Lee shows he's the master of the Les Paul (and Stratocaster for that matter), ripping off leads and solos with the precision and grace. [...] Normalcy Bias shows his skill as writer and arranger are just as impressive. ..." - Preston Frazier, Something Else! Reviews).
Lee grew up as a trained classical pianist. He played the alto sax for several years and was trained as a classical violinist, under the guidance of maestro and violinist Thomas Wang (International Who's Who).
Years after, Lucas began playing the electric guitar, which has since remained to be his primary instrument. Lucas attended numerous workshops taught by renowned producer/engineer Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Steve Morse, Terry Bozzio), on the craft of studio recording and mixing. Lee has released three solo albums all of which featured Lucas writing, producing, playing all instruments (outside of drums), recording and mixing. The second and third albums featured Pat Mastelotto and Tobias Ralph on drums, respectively.
Lee continues the lifelong quest of improving his craft on music creation. Information on him and his work can be found at www.LucasLeeMusic.com.
